Like last year, the COVID-19 pandemic has severely disrupted the supply chain as well as package deliveries. And many consumers started their holiday shopping extra early, putting even more pressure on companies struggling to get packages delivered on time.
According to Deloitte’s 2021 holiday retail survey, 39 percent of shoppers are buying gifts early, with 62 percent saying they’ll shop online. All this means that retailers and shipping companies will have their hands full.
